Pokemon Snap

Post by RMGMDPunk on Wed Aug 21, 2013 12:39 am

I can't believe you people have a Pokemon forum and don't talk about Pokemon Snap AKA the best side game to ever exist ever.

In fact, the fact they haven't announced a sequel for the Wii U is a crime.

The Wii U Game Pad is literally designed just for Pokemon Snap.

Nintendo just... doesn't know that yet.

Hahahaha

I totally agree, though!!! It would be sooooo awesome to see Pokemon Snap come to the Wii U. That would def make me get one faster :p

It was a pretty cool game. I just couldn't dump like 80 hours in it like I can with other games lol

I know, right? I've been talking with others before about how the Wii U is a Snap sequel waiting to happen XD Controller that's already a "camera"? You've got the best gimmick *evar* right there.

I mean, hell, if they released a Snap sequel, I might actually thick of getting a Wii U...

I <3 Pokemon Snap.  Only thing I didn't like was half the time I forgot to save :S

Still, I would spend hours trying to get the best pictures I could, learning what things earned points through trial and error ^_^

I also remember how for the cave level I would pretend the Jigglypuff concert was some big thing and would use up the rest of my film taking picture after picture of them ^_^

Nice, yah. I always hated the cutscene of going through the portal at the end, so I always wasted ALL REMAINING FILM on whatever the last pokemon of a level was XD

Man, I must have replayed that game from the beginning 3-4 times. I don't recall the exact score, but I remember getting a ludicrous number of points on Mew a few of my times, like over 10,000 points, iirc (maybe as high as like 13k) ^_^

Yeah.... Honestly, Nintendo has got some screws loose if they don't make a new Pokemon Snap. Like you said, that shit is made for it. They could totally even make a bundle where you get a Pokemon-themed tablet controller with like a Pikachu that could have a camera around his neck or something :p

And yeah... I spent so much time on that as a kid. I loved how taking pictures would affect some of the Pokemon. And like talking to my friends and showing them the secrets I found and seeing what new stuff they found. Good times.

Totally. Sadly, I didn't get Snap for a really long time, but it's such a classic... Has Nintendo even released Snap for like the wii store or anything? Unmodified, it's like 64 MB. That's smaller than most bugfix patches nowadays...

Hahahaha yeah, PBG is really funny and he makes a good point with that. A little disturbing when you think about what he was doing to get the pictures
